About the Project

PGPodcast is a leading Polish podcast featuring discussions on business and scientific topics. The client approached me with an existing website on the Webflow platform that they were unable to modify on their own. My task was to migrate it to WordPress while maintaining the existing design, but incorporating the client’s vision for functional improvements.

The challenge was to preserve the existing design while migrating it to the flexible WordPress platform. The client, who has a background in design, had a clear vision for improving functionality.

I performed a 1:1 migration of the website from Webflow to WordPress, building a dedicated, lightweight theme from scratch based exclusively on Advanced Custom Fields.

I designed and implemented a dedicated newsletter page that serves as a landing page for marketing campaigns and is integrated with MailerLite.

I created a smart newsletter sign-up popup that appears when a user tries to leave the page and remembers their interactions so it doesn’t appear again.

I implemented a centralized social media management dashboard that lets the client update follower counts from various platforms in one place.

My collaboration involves ongoing technical support. I regularly maintain the website and implement minor improvements, allowing the client to focus fully on content creation.

Solution

I focused on giving the client complete freedom and control over their platform. The goal was to replace the closed Webflow system with a flexible and efficient WordPress solution that can be easily edited without any coding knowledge.

I provided the client with full autonomy in content management. Thanks to the website’s “block-based” structure (ACF modules), the client can independently build and modify subpages while maintaining full consistency with the graphic design.

I carried out a seamless migration while preserving SEO, moving the website to a new technology without negatively impacting its search engine rankings.

I implemented professional email marketing tools. A dedicated landing page and smart pop-up, integrated with MailerLite, have become an effective mechanism for growing the subscriber base.

I created a centralized social media link management system that makes it easy to keep data and follower counts up to date on the website.

The result of my work is a professional and fully editable platform that has given the client independence and effective tools to grow their podcast brand. My ongoing technical support allows them to focus entirely on creating valuable content.

Tools Used

In this project, I focused on maximum minimalism and performance. The entire site was built using clean WordPress code and a single, essential content management plugin.

Custom WordPress Theme: I built a proprietary, ultra-lightweight theme from scratch, free of any unnecessary plugins, which guarantees maximum speed and security for the platform.

Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): I used the Advanced Custom Fields plugin as the sole tool for building the site’s structure, giving the client full control over editing content using a modular “block” system.

Integration with the newsletter system (MailerLite): I ensured full and seamless integration of forms and pop-ups with the external email marketing system MailerLite.

SEO Optimization: I implemented on-page best practices and structured data to maintain and strengthen the podcast’s visibility in search results.
