Together with The Hunting Hub, I created a professional booking platform showcasing hunting trips from around the world. My task was to translate an ambitious UI design into a custom, high-performance WordPress theme that efficiently manages a complex data structure and multilingual capabilities.

About the Project
The Hunting Hub is a brand offering curated hunting expeditions to the farthest corners of the world. The project required me to create a tool that combines an exclusive design with a powerful database and seamless operation in international markets.
Scaling to Global Markets: From the outset, the website had to support three language versions (PL, EN, DE) to effectively reach customers across Europe and around the world.
Complex Information Architecture: The challenge was to create a system of links between expeditions, specific animal species, and destinations so that navigation would be intuitive.
Performance as a Priority: With a rich visual design and a large volume of data, maintaining fast loading speeds was crucial, as this directly impacts brand prestige and SEO results.
Fidelity to the UI design: I had to precisely translate the sophisticated and modern graphic layout into a functional website, preserving every visual detail.
Solution
I opted for custom programming solutions that allowed me to overcome the limitations of off-the-shelf templates and deliver a product tailored to the client’s specific business needs.
Custom WordPress Theme: I built a lightweight and fast theme from scratch (Custom Theme). This ensures the site is free of unnecessary code, guaranteeing the highest performance and security.
Relational Database: I leveraged WordPress’s capabilities to create interconnected content types. Trips are automatically mapped to the “Genres” and “Destinations” taxonomies, allowing for the dynamic display of related offers.
Dynamic filtering system: I implemented advanced filters using Search & Filter Pro. Users can instantly search the offerings by country or game species without unnecessary page reloads.
Server-Side Optimization: The website has been fully optimized for the client’s server infrastructure, which, combined with clean code, has resulted in excellent response times and smooth performance.
Tools Used
For this project, I selected technologies that ensure stability, ease of editing for the client, and the ability to quickly implement changes in foreign markets.
ACF Pro: Thanks to the use of flexible content blocks, the site administrator can independently build new pages, confident that they will always comply with the approved UI design.
WPML + DeepL API: I was responsible for the full implementation of translations. Thanks to the integration of the WPML system with the DeepL engine, the translation process into English and German was automated and terminologically consistent.
Search & Filter Pro: This tool allowed me to create an efficient and fast search system for offers, which operates based on advanced parameters and taxonomies.
Custom Post Types: I used custom post types for expeditions and expedition case studies, which allowed me to maintain perfect organization in the admin panel and on the front end of the site.
